A Message From Joe . . .
Congratulations to Barack Obama. The American electorate has decided that you will be our next president. As I have stated, I will honor and support my president, but there will be no free ride. When President-Elect Obama takes office in January, his term of service to the American people begins. We wish our new president blessings of wisdom and good judgment, and we pray he hearkens to our voice if ever we feel our American Dream is being threatened. It will be a loud voice, so good luck trying to ignore it.
Since we have launched this website, tens of thousands of you have expressed your desire to join this movement. I am truly humbled by your support, your kind words of encouragement and your becoming a part of something that I believe we all feel can truly change the course of this country for the better.
For those of you just visiting this website, remember that real change in America will only begin if the backbone of this country becomes personally involved in demanding more from our elected officials, and by helping one another in times of need. This is our mission. This is our fight. This is our time to secure our American Dream.

Joe the Watchdog?
The following is from a Boston Globe article:
http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/11/joe_the_plumber_1.html
Joe the plumber is apparently not ready to leave the political stage now that the election is over.
While Samuel J. Wurzelbacher quashes speculation that he plans to run for Congress, he tells Newsmax.com, a conservative website, that he is launching a government watchdog group to keep President-elect Barack Obama and other politicians accountable.
In the telephone interview posted today, Wurzelbacher says rather being just one voice among 435 in Congress, he hopes to be more vocal and do more good with his watchdog group.
Because of the "unique position that I've been put in," he said, he has decided he "might better serve my fellow man" with watchdog group. (The group's brand-new website also promotes his forthcoming book, "Fighting for the American Dream.")
He said he's putting his dream of owning his own plumbing business on hold. "The nice thing about being a plumber, I can always go back to being a plumber," he says.
It was his plumbing business plan, of course, that first put him in the public eye. He confronted Obama while the Democrat was campaigning in northeast Ohio and said his tax plans would get in the way of his dream. Obama famously replied that with the struggling economy, he wanted to "spread the wealth."
Republican John McCain made that comment his major campaign theme for the final weeks and made Wurzelbacher a symbol of small business owners and would-be owners who he said would be hurt by Obama's plans.
Reporters quickly uncovered that Wurzelbacher wasn't actually licensed to be a plumber and owed back taxes.
In the interview, he said he was disappointed by the scrutiny and suggested that might discourage others from asking tough questions.
Wurzelbacher said he was also disappointed by McCain's loss on Tuesday and said it's now up to Obama to prove himself.
"He's got a lot of work to do," he said.
But he said the new watchdog group, he said, will show that he's not "in the tank" for McCain, or completely against Obama.

JOE THE PLUMBER MAY RUN!!!!
The success of this website has prompted Joe the Plumber to publicly declare that he is seriously considering running.
SIGN THE PETITION!!!!!!!!!!
The following is from the Hill (http://briefingroom.thehill.com/2008/10/24/joe-the-plumber-says-hes-mulling-run-for-congress/)
"Joe Wurzelbacher, a.k.a. "Joe the Plumber," said Friday he may consider running for Congress in 2010, challenging longtime Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D) in the Toledo-area district.
"I'll tell you what, we'd definitely be in one heck of a fight," Wurzelbacher said during an appearance on the Laura Ingraham show Friday, "but, you know, I'd be up for it."
"There is a movement afoot to draft you to run for Congress," Ingraham said. "Joe, let me tell you something: you decide to run for Congress, and I'll help you with your PR, I'll help you do your ads, I mean, I'll volunteer to help you."
Ingraham's producer, Brian Feldman, said that during the break after the segment, Wurzelbacher told Ingraham that his statements today represent the first time he has acknowledged considering a bid for Congress in public.
Wurzelbacher said he did agree with Kaptur's vote against the bailout, and touted his support for a flat tax on income.
A Springfield, Ohio native, Wurzelbacher became a target of fame and scrutiny after Republican candidate John Mccain referenced the plumber during his third presidential debate against Barack Obama. Wurzelbacher confronted Obama during a campaign spot in northwest Ohio preceding the debate to ask Obama about his tax plan.
Supporters launched a website following Wurzelbacher's rise to prominence encouraging him to run for the seat.
Kaptur has represented Ohio's 9th congressional district since being elected in 1982, and has easily secured reelection in years since. She is expected to easily defeat Republican opponent Bradley Leavitt next month.
Listen to a clip of Wurzelbacher's appearance in which he discusses a potential bid below.
CNN has an article on it:

Last night our movement was on NBC 24:
Here is a direct link (http://nbc24.com/news/video.aspx?id=209809)
We were also on Neil Cavuto but we do not have the link for that at this time.
Marcy Kaptur's campaign put out this statement (to NBC 24) that in fairness we will print here in its entirety:
"Ohioans have had enough of endless campaigns. Congresswoman Kaptur thinks voters would prefer to cast their vote in this year's election before outside groups come to town to start the next one"
We have gotten the attention of Marcy Kaptur... in one of the first times in her 13 term career she may have a serious contender for her seat in Congress... we say... GOOD!
However, Marcy we have to agree with you on one thing, "Ohioans have had enough of endless campaigns"... for you! In your 14th campaign, I am sure Ohioans are tired of supporting you, and by your 15th campaign, I am sure they will be done supporting you and looking for new blood. Joe is that new blood.
We hardly think it is excessive to have a serious contender for office, this is not the California Recall, and she does not have 30 contenders! We think it makes sense for her to have at least one serious contender, and do not understand the argument that there are 'too many'. We hardly think having another choice is too many candidates. It is a good thing she could not regulate this into law, maybe every election we would be limited to one candidate!
We are not competing for the election this year, so Ohioans can choose this year between their 2 candidates, and in 2010, they will have two choices as well.
This argument about outside groups seems a bit confusing. Outside groups often recruit candidates to run, outside groups often help candidates. We are starting a movement and it is being carried mainly by Ohioans and ultimately it will be an Ohioan choice. Most of our support is coming from Ohioans, and that is where we have gotten the most press and the most petition signatures.
Marcy Kaptur should be worried, because Joe's support shows that her days are numbered, and that change is coming to Ohio. The campaign itself would have to be started by Joe, this is an effort to get support to get him to start a campaign. But the way her quote is written it is as if we are 'starting the next election.' We have news for Marcy, there will be an election in 2010, with or without us. But with us, and with Joe, it will be a serious election for the first time in a while.
If you have responses to her statement, send us an e-mail we'll include it up here.
